First Sunday Collection recipient for July: NAMI Greater Des Moines

NAMI is a grassroots, self-help, education, support and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of those families who have relatives with a brain disorder (mental illness). The organization provides resources to families who are affected by mental illness. The funds donated would provide training for the Education Outreach person to train facilitators to teach the 52 community education classes for a year. The classes are offered free to all attendees. The goal of this funding is to reach all four counties served by NAMI Greater Des Moines.  For more information, please visit their website
