Creative Visions’ founder Ako Abdul-Samad and/or Ivette Muhammad will join us to share their vision for breaking the chain of poverty and hopelessness within vulnerable communities by empowering the individuals within them. Donations will go to Creative Visions’ work in the community where the organization offers nutritious meals, crime victim assistance, family reunification, learning pods for students, and a “pain to power” program. Checks can be written either to “Creative Visions” or “DMIEC” with “First Sunday” in the memo line. We would prefer that all checks be mailed to DMIEC. If you mail your check directly to the
organization, please note “DMIEC First Sunday” in the memo line and inform Ed Arnold of the amount, if you feel comfortable, so the Social Justice Committee can get an accurate count of donations.
