Our First Sunday collection recipient for December is Sister Water Project, which was started 18 years ago by the Sisters of St. Francis in Dubuque. It helps supply safe water to people of Tanzania and Honduras. Sister Water Project has built more than 450 wells in Tanzania and more than 45 water systems in Honduras. All work is done by volunteers from the villages. The sisters do not charge for administration, so 100% of donations are designated for the projects. First Sunday donations will be used to build a well in Tanzania. The cost of a well is $5,500. Wouldn’t it be grand to have a well in Tanzania with “DMIEC” written on it?
