A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John.

Jesus said to his disciples:

“I have much more to tell you,

but you cannot hear it now.

But when the Spirit comes,

you will be guided to all truth.

What you hear will be what the Spirit hears,

and it will be announced to you

of the things that will come.

In doing this the Spirit will give glory to me

because what was received from me

will be announced to you.

All that the One who sent me has

belongs to me.

This is why I said that what the Spirit will announce to you,

the Spirit will have from me.”
