TWELFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME — Year B
Second Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:14-17
A reading from the second letter of Paul to the Corinthians.
The love of Christ is overwhelming when we reflect on this: that if one person has died for all, then all of us have died; and the reason Christ died for all was so that the living should live no longer for themselves, but for Christ who died and was raised to life for them.
From now on, we do not look on anyone in terms of more human judgment. Even if we did once regard Christ in these terms, that is not how we know Christ now. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old order has passed away; now everything is new!
The Word of God recorded in the second letter of Paul to the Corinthians.
