A reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah.

Seek Your God while God is still to be found,

call to God, while God is still near.

Let the wicked abandon their ways,

the evil their thoughts.

Let them turn back to God, who will take pity on them,

to Our God, who will generously forgive.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

nor are your ways my ways, says Your God.

As high as the heavens are above the earth,

so high are my ways above your ways

and my thoughts above your thoughts.

R: O God, You are near to all who call upon You.

I will extol You, O my God,

and I will bless Your Name forever and ever.

Every day will I bless You,

and I will praise Your Name forever and ever.

R: O God, You are near to all who call upon You.

Adonai, You are gracious and merciful

slow to anger and of great kindness.

Adonai, You are good to all

and compassionate toward all Your works.

R: O God, You are near to all who call upon You.

Adonai, You are just in all Your ways

and holy in all Your works.

You are near to all who call upon You,

to all who call upon You in truth.
